Pedaling in PEI : Day 14

Saturday, September 10

Fredericton, NB to Cabano, QC by car.

Cabano to Notre Dame du Lac and back 25km

Cabano to Drummondville by car.

The sun was shining brightly when we got up this morning so we went for a short walk because breakfast. Then we got in the car and started driving. After a short stop in Hartland for a break, we switched drivers and carried on into Quebec.

When we got to Cabano on Lake Temiscouata we parked the car and unloaded the bikes. The Petite Temis Rail Trail runs from Riviere du Loup to Edmunston and we planned on riding a short section of it to Notre Dame du Lac and back.

Mom and I first pedaled this trail in 2010 as part of our Quebec City to Halifax trip. The lake looked so nice and we were all tempted to swim. In Notre Dame du Lac we had a picnic lunch before riding back to Cabano.

Then it was back in the car. We stopped in Riviere du Loup to visit the Bis A Boulange bakery. Then we drove for several more hours, ending up in Drummondville.

We had another great picnic supper in our room, our last one on this trip.
