This morning we awoke to an impressive vista overlooking the St. Lawrence River.

After a quick trip to the IGA we ate breakfast at the hotel before hitting the road. We have some other family traveling out east right now so we planned a rendezvous in Saint Leonard.

Without much trouble we found them.

My brother Chris and my sister-in-law are en route to the Wharf Rat Rally in Digby, Nova Scotia. Mom and Vicki were digging their ride or perhaps they were showing off in front of the Windsor Spitfire hockey boys?

Once all of us were on the road again we were zipping along through New Brunswick. I suggested we stop at the place where we got those tasty chips one time. Florenceville? Nope. Hartley? Close. Back up by the highway we found the Covered Bridge Chip factory and loaded up.

We have been practicing the rolling picnic technique, eating snacks while driving. When we run low on food or see something tempting, we stop.
Such as at the Green Pig Farm Market.

The weather did what it wanted today. Sporadic rain drops, sunshine and then as we were crossing the Confederation Bridge to Prince Edward Island it suddenly produced strong wind gusts and a huge double rainbow.

We crossed slowly, but safely to the island and stopped at the visitor centre for some information.

By the time we arrived in Summerside, the sky cleared up and the sun came out.

We took a quick tour of town – missed a turn – and found the grocery store. 8pm and it is supper time!

Tomorrow we plan on actually riding our bikes. Seriously!
